Old Fashioned Banana Bread

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup (60mL) Natrel butter
  • 1/2 cup (125mL) sugar
  • 2 Ripe, mashed bananas
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/2 cups (625mL) flour
  • 2 tsp (10mL) baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp (2mL) baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp (2mL) salt
  • 1 cup (250mL) Québon cultured buttermilk product
Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, beat the butter into a creamy texture. 
  2. Add sugar and mashed bananas. Mix well. Add the egg and continue mixing. 
  3. Mix dry ingredients separately. 
  4. Begin slowly incorporating the dry ingredients alternating with little amount of Québon culured buttermilk product until all ingredients are combined. 
  5. Pour into a greased and floured 9’’ x 5’’ loaf pan. Bake at 350ᵒ F (180ᵒ C) for approximately 60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
